The Institute of Applied Metaprogramming (I-AM) bridges clinical rigor with esoteric depth—training practitioners, researchers, and explorers to work systemically with the structures that govern human experience.
Founded by Drs. Rachel Turetzky and Douglas S. Wingate, I-AM integrates the Eight-Circuit Model with psychedelic research and practice and evidence-informed clinical practices that facilitate psychospiritual healing and transformation.

Dr. Rachel Turetzky
Co-Founder
Dr. Rachel Turetzky holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where her dissertation examined Rick Strassman, M.D.'s bedside notes from his foundational 1990s DMT studies. She earned her M.A. in Psychology from The New School for Social Research and completed additional research training in cognitive neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She holds a certification in ketamine-assisted therapy through Fluence and trained in psychedelic-assisted therapy through Sage Institute.
Since 2012, Dr. Turetzky has worked with MAPS/Lykos Therapeutics, including as an Adherence Rater on their MDMA-assisted therapy clinical trials for PTSD. She studied the Eight-Circuit Model of Consciousness with Antero Alli and is co-author, with Dr. Douglas S. Wingate, of 8-Circuit Ascension: A Guide to Metaprogramming the Multidimensional Self (2025) and 8-Circuit Ascension Workbook: Tools to Change Your Brain & Increase Intelligence (2026)—both published through The Original Falcon Press. She is co-creator of the forthcoming DMT Entities Oracle Deck (2027, Inner Traditions). She offers psychotherapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy through Brighter Life Therapy, PLLC and psychospiritual guidance, psychedelic integration, and ketamine guidance through Of Will & Love LLC. She co-founded the Institute of Applied Metaprogramming (I-AM) and 8-Circuit Ascension (8-CA) with Dr. Wingate.
Dr. Douglas S. Wingate
Co-Founder
Dr. Douglas Wingate holds a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and a Master's from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, with postdoctoral studies in clinical neuroscience from the Carrick Institute. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist, herbalist, certified Functional Medicine Hyperbaric Clinician, and certified somatic psychedelic integration practitioner.
A member of Oregon's first cohort of licensed psilocybin facilitators, Dr. Wingate co-owns one of the first licensed psilocybin service centers in the United States and works with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's psychedelic-assisted therapy program. He serves as an adjunct professor at the National University of Natural Medicine and has worked in the neurology department of Oregon Health & Science University Hospital. He is the author of Circuits and Shen: Models of the Evolution of Consciousness and Chinese Medicine and co-author, with Dr. Rachel Turetzky, of 8-Circuit Ascension: A Guide to Metaprogramming the Multidimensional Self (2025) and the 8-Circuit Ascension Workbook: Tools to Change Your Brain & Increase Intelligence (2026)—both published through Original Falcon Press. A longtime practitioner of meditation, qigong, and Daoist internal alchemy, he studied the Eight-Circuit Model of Consciousness under Robert Anton Wilson at the Maybe Logic Academy and with Antero Alli in his 8-Circuit Brain course. He co-founded the Institute of Applied Metaprogramming (I-AM) and 8-Circuit Ascension (8-CA) with Dr. Turetzky.
